Upper Back Brace
Upper back pain can be a familiar feeling for people who've had previous back injuries. A deep ache that sits across the shoulders or around the neck can have you longing for relief. Wearing an upper back brace can give stability and unloading to the spine, relieving pressure on the discs and allowing you to move comfortably without worrying about each and every step.
What exactly is my upper back?

Your spine is divided into four parts, the cervical (your neck), the thoracic (your torso), the lumbar (your waist) and sacral (your lower hips and pelvis). The upper back is made up of the first two, extending from the base of your ribs up to the top of your neck.

Will this make my muscles weaker?

Reliance is certainly something to be wary of, but Bauerfeind have developed a range of supports to allow as much muscle movement as possible while still supporting the necessary areas. Combining brace-wearing with proper exercise and physiotherapy is your best remedy for relief and recovery.

Can I claim back on private health for these?

Depending on who your insurance provider is and what level of extras coverage you have, you may or may not be able to claim back. We can help you with your invoice and give advice to make it easier for you.
