Leg Compression Sleeves

Leg compression sleeves are great for all sorts of issues, whether it's to help with your body's blood-flow, managing varicose veins, muscle recovery or just to combat fatigue and heaviness in the limbs. The benefits of compression are well known and applied by medical and clinical professionals around the world, and have been for thousands of years.

Bauerfeind have been developing and refining compression for over 90 years now, pioneering how it works and leading the world in terms of medical-grade compression and support. If you're looking to get a leg sleeve or two, there's none better than Bauerfeind.

How does compression work?

Compression works differently depending on the garment and where it is, but it utilises the same principle across the board. By applying a specific amount of pressure on the muscles, blood flow is increased, swelling is reduced and pain relieved. This also works to give the muscle more power by "activating" it, reducing excess muscle vibration and fatigue so each movement is more precise.

Why not just wear normal tights?

While fashion and big name brands often advertise compression and tights, if they're not medically-graded, they might feel nice, but won't be nearly as effective, especially long-term. Medical-grade compression is made to an international standard that's been extensively tested and proven to benefit the muscles and blood-flow in active movement during sports and exercise as well as day to day life.

How long should I wear these?

It depends on what you're using it for.

In general, if it's for an injury, keep the compression on while you're using those muscles, whether it's sport, exercise or work.

If it's for general comfort and prevention, wearing them for work/study and general day to day activities should be plenty.

How do I take care of these products?

Virtually all of our products can be machine washed on a cold gentle cycle and air dried out of direct sunlight. Putting them on and taking them off carefully is recommended, and for specific product care, refer to the product manual or contact our friendly staff.

What is the warranty for these products?

All supports and insoles come with a 12 month warranty, and compression stockings with a 3 month warranty for any manufacturers faults. At any point if you've got issues with the product or aren't sure if something is wrong, just contact our helpful staff.

How do I know they'll fit?

Bauerfeind have an incredibly extensive sizing system for our products based off of hundreds of thousands of patient measurements. The perfect anatomic fit system we use means that the supports are designed to fit your body, not the other way around. (We also offer custom options for a range of our products for those rare few who still can't fit into our sizing range).
