The AchilloTrain Pro Ankle Support is designed to treat swelling, pain and injury in the Achilles tendon. Suitable for any level of activity, the pain relief and active support demonstrates the best in German design and manufacturing to give you support when and where you need it.
An Achilles sleeve for repeated strains, tears and swelling across the tendon and lower calf, the AchilloTrain pro combines an expansive gel massage pad that covers the entire tendon with a firm anatomical fit for anything you throw at it. Ideal for Achilles tears, ruptures, chronic swelling and pain in the lower calf.

I sustained an Achilles tendon pull/strain while traveling through Australia. It was painful and very difficult to walk, especially stairs, hills, and curbs. I am going to give this support a 5 star as it does work. The two times that I managed to wear it helped with the pain and I have noticed some of the swelling in my heel has gone doen. But unfortunately I had to stop wearing it as there has been an allergic reaction to my heel and leg. The reaction was itchy, red rash and like I had been by something. But overall I highly recommend this brace as it does work, but for me I had to stop using it after two reaction to it.

Regarding your reaction to the brace, we would recommend trying to wash it thoroughly, as sweat buildup over multiple wears can start irritating the skin. If that doesn't help, we suggest trying the Sports Achilles Support. As a sports brace, it has a more breathable and moisture-wicking material, which may be beneficial for more sensitive skin. The support is thicker than i expected. I found the fit was loose around my foot but firm enough around my calf although it did slip and bunch down a bit.
However, it has been helpful for my Achilles injury when I walk and seems to help with swelling.

Its medical-grade compression and gel padding system make it a great pick for Achilles tendon issues. Regarding the fit, it could be the case the brace is a size too large. Ideally, the compression should be relatively tight and form-fitting to provide the optimal level of support. We do try to make our sizing guides as extensive and accurate as possible, but for those on the border of two sizes, it can still be a little tricky. Offers some support and sleeve to get on works well , but getting off is too difficult and a risk to the injury .

Given this ankle brace is a medical grade compressive device that needs to adhere to medical standards, it will be a little more difficult to remove as a by-product of it needing to support and compress the ankle effectively. We supply the free donning sleeve to help put it on. However, we do recommend being extra cautions when removing to ensure you don't overextend whilst gently taking the support off.
