Lymphedema Compression Garments

Lymphedema is a relatively common condition that affects a wide range of people, causing fluid to become built-up and heavy in the limbs and body. It can range from mild issues in a small area due to trauma or surgery, all the way to chronic and severe swelling and pain across the whole body.

While each person will have a different treatment plan, flat-knit compression is the most effective and sustainable way to manage the condition. Whether it's a simple arm sleeve or knee high stocking for the milder case, or complete custom made garment with multiple parts, Bauerfeind have developed a reputation for the best lymphatic compression garments in the world.

What is lymphedema?

Lymphedema is a disorder of the lymphatic system, affecting some or all of it. When it occurs, the body is not able to process the normal waste build up in the tissue around the feet, legs, arms and other parts of the body, leading to fluid building up under the skin. This starts off with some swelling and discomfort, but can progress to distinctive swelling and pain, putting you at risk of infection and reduced mobility.
