It may sound like an old-fashioned term from the middle ages in medicine, but wearing a corset for back pain relief is still one of the best ways to protect and support your spine for particular issues. When there's muscle weakness in the core, spinal posture issues or nerve issues affecting control of the muscles, wearing a lower back corset helps to correct posture and compensate for the lack of stability.
Bauerfeind have perfected the back pain corset with anatomical fit, medical design and world-class German engineering.
While the corset as a fashion item was popularised in Victorian England, it's been used for medical support of the spine for centuries across the world. Whether you call it a corset, girdle, brace or support, using firm flexible splints to support and stabilise the spine is still one of the best ways to address many back problems.
Virtually all of our supports are designed for active use, whether it's on the sports field, in the gym, or just for a run around the block.
Simply put, Bauerfeind have set the global standard for medical braces, compression and insoles. Using the highest quality materials to construct decades-refined products that have been clinically proven to address a vast range of issues. There's no substitute for quality, and Bauerfeind have that from the simplest strap to the largest brace.
Virtually all of our products can be machine washed on a cold gentle cycle and air dried out of direct sunlight. Putting them on and taking them off carefully is recommended, and for specific product care, refer to the product manual or contact our friendly staff.
All supports and insoles come with a 12 month warranty, and compression stockings with a 3 month warranty for any manufacturers faults. At any point if you've got issues with the product or aren't sure if something is wrong, just contact our helpful staff.
Bauerfeind have an incredibly extensive sizing system for our products based off of hundreds of thousands of patient measurements. The perfect anatomic fit system we use means that the supports are designed to fit your body, not the other way around. (We also offer custom options for a range of our products for those rare few who still can't fit into our sizing range).
