Ligament Knee Braces

If you've strained your MCL exercising, torn your ACL playing sports or even done your LCL in from repeated injury, knee ligament pain and issues are relatively common for those playing sports.

Wearing a ligament knee brace provides stability back to the joint, takes pressure off the ligament itself to allow for healing and recovery and helps you to get back to the sports you love. Ligament knee braces are one of the many issues that Bauerfeind specialises in.

Why are the ligaments in my knee important?
Your knee has four main ligaments, the ACL, PCL, MCL and LCL. These connect the bones together and stabilise your movement, without them your knee would slide about and leave you laying on the ground with every step. Each one has their own specific role, whether stabilising you while you run, helping you land on the ground or just turning the corner.
Will these weaken my muscles?
While cheaper and less effective braces can cause an issue known as reliance (where the muscles become weaker and rely on the brace), Bauerfeind has perfected the blend of stability and movement. By restricting or immobilising specific parts of the ankle that need it, and freeing up the rest, you can continue to exercise, building and maintaining strength in the joint.
What makes these products better than others?
Simply put, Bauerfeind has set the global standard for medical braces, compression and insoles. Using the highest quality materials to construct decades-refined products that have been clinically proven to address a vast range of issues. There's no substitute for quality, and Bauerfeind has that from the simplest strap to the largest brace.
How do I clean my knee brace?
Wash the compression braces on a gentle cycle, at a low temperature, and then allow them to air-dry. Ideally, the garments should be washed in a delicates wash-bag. Clothes dryers should be avoided as the high temperatures can damage the fabric and grade of compression. For hard braces, hand-wash in cool water and allow to air-dry. Putting them on and taking them off carefully is recommended, and for specific product care, refer to the product manual or contact our friendly staff.
How do I know they'll fit?
