Knee Hyperextension Braces

When you're moving, keeping everything going in the right direction is always key. But if you've been injured or have genetic or nerve issues affecting the knee, this is often easier said than done. When the knee hyperextends, it can cause pain, swelling, discomfort and possible complications. The use of knee hyperextension braces by doctors and physios is one of the best ways to keep the joint protected while you build up strength in the knee.

Bauerfeind utilise perfect anatomical fit and extensive sizing options to ensure that you've got the best brace to prevent knee hyperextension.

Will these help with my knee injury?
Bauerfeind's range of knee supports work effectively at treating a range of issues, injuries and symptoms that affect the knee. Extensively tested in a wide range of clinical situations, they're one fo the best ways to effectively recover long term from injury.
What makes these products better than others?
Simply put, Bauerfeind has set the global standard for medical braces, compression and insoles. Using the highest quality materials to construct decades-refined products that have been clinically proven to address a vast range of issues. There's no substitute for quality, and Bauerfeind has that from the simplest strap to the largest brace.
How long do they last?

Bauerfeind's high quality construction and design mean that all of our products go the distance, especially when cared for properly. Below is a rough outline of how long products last before they start to lose their effectiveness over time.

  • Compression Stockings - 6 to 9 months of daily wear
  • Braces & supports - one to two years of daily wear
  • Insoles - 9 to 12 months of daily wear
It's important to note that this is a rough guideline, and each person's usage and general care can change the longevity of the product either way.

How do I clean my knee brace?
Wash the compression braces on a gentle cycle, at a low temperature, and then allow them to air-dry. Ideally, the garments should be washed in a delicates wash-bag. Clothes dryers should be avoided as the high temperatures can damage the fabric and grade of compression. For hard braces, hand-wash in cool water and allow to air-dry. Putting them on and taking them off carefully is recommended, and for specific product care, refer to the product manual or contact our friendly staff.
