How to achieve the perfect fit

Step 1

Click the Measure & Buy button above. Measure the circumference of your thigh 14 cm above centre of your knee (1) with your knee bent at 30 degrees.

Step 2

Measure the circumference of your calf 12 cm below centre of your knee (2) with your knee bent at 30 degrees.

Step 3

The sports knee support should feel snug and firm but not constrictive. All Bauerfeind knee braces have a 1 year warranty and qualify for our 30 day size exchange policy.

The controlled compression improves the knee’s ability to maintain maximum movement stability during sporting activities.

At the same time, the hard-wearing sports knee support massages the ligaments, tendons, muscles, and the connective tissue, which in turn has a positive impact on the sensorimotor system.

This combats the risk of stress and injury, and the pain associated with excessive strain subsides more quickly.

The sports knee brace is best used to treat and prevent sprains and strains of knee, knee swelling, tendinitis of the knee, jumper's knee, runner's knee and to alleviate the effects of overuse and high impact activity during sporting activity.

How is this different to the GenuTrain Knee Brace?

As opposed to the GenuTrain, the Sports Knee Support has a simplified gel insert. Additionally it's made from a different weave that's more breathable and higher in compression, making it better for short use in a preventative manner.

Can I wear this all day long?

This brace is perfect for all-day wear to minimise pain and provide comfort in all levels of activity and lifestyle.

Can I wear this into the water?

The Sports Knee Support, just like the majority of our braces and supports, can be worn in water, whether it's the pool, at the beach or in an idyllic river. Just give it a rinse under cool tap water afterwards.

Excellent quality and supports the knee very well. Great for post-exercise recovery.

I had an extended period of time out from running following an incident that led to persistent knee swelling, tendinosis and a cartilage flap. With help from the physio and now this knee support, I have finally managed to get back into jogging and cycling short distances again without any significant knee pain or swelling, which I used to get from simple everyday activities.

Runners knee

Had 4 weeks off through injury, thought the marathon was a no go having missed so much training and no end in sight for the nagging pain. Fast forward two weeks after receiving the sports knee support and I’m almost back on track, distance is increasing, pace is increasing to pre-injury level and pain is almost non-existent. Should’ve done it sooner

Holds my knee in place!

Genuinely surprised and very happy with this product. I purchased it because I have partial tear in ACL, PCL and meniscus. This brace allows me to play tennis and my knee feels much more secure when I'm wearing it.
