Lymphedema Compression Stockings

While lymphedema can affect many different parts of the body, the majority of cases and "problem areas" occur in the legs and ankles. Wearing lymphedema compression stockings is the primary method of treating and managing lymphedema, lipodema and other lymphatic issues.

Bauerfeind have a range of compression stockings for lymphedema, from standard knee and thigh high stockings to completely custom garments that can be as low as the ankle or as high as your waist. With a wide range of compression classes and optional extras, colours and designs, there's a lymphatic stocking for anyone.

To find the right stockings for you, or to know more about our range, please call us on 1300 668 466, or email us at info@bauerfeind.com.au.

What is lymphedema?
Lymphedema is a disorder of the lymphatic system, affecting some or all of it. When it occurs, the body is not able to process the normal waste build up in the tissue around the feet, legs, arms and other parts of the body, leading to fluid building up under the skin. This starts off with some swelling and discomfort, but can progress to distinctive swelling and pain, putting you at risk of infection and reduced mobility.
How do these help treat lymphedema?
Lymphedema is best managed, as there is not often an actual treatment available. Combined with decongestion therapy and lifestyle changes, wearing special lymphedema compression garments can help to minimise the fluid build-up and swelling, alleviating pain and discomfort and boosting confidence.
