Orthosis for Pain in Balls of Foot

HOW CAN I RELIEVE PAIN IN THE BALLS OF MY FEET?

The balls of your foot is the area between the foot arch and toes. When we walk, our weight shifts from our heels to the balls of the foot.

When that weight shift is transferred unevenly, over time this can lead to pain and swelling. This pain in the ball of the foot is called metatarsalgia. It is also not uncommon for calluses to form in the areas that is red and in pain.

Bauerfeind’s high-quality insoles with medical-grade supports target the symptoms of ball of the foot pain to provide optimal relief and protection.

Made with high-quality polyurethane foam, our insoles offer optimal cushioning and flexibility to help you stand or walk around for longer.

We recommend wearing the ErgoPad Weightflex insole if you are suffering from pain in balls of the foot. Take a look at this customer review using the orthosis to prevent and treat sore foot.

Bauerfeind has formed a multi-functional foot orthosis that fits into multiple shoes for ease of functionality, including closed high heels. The Weightflex orthotic core stabilizes the longitudinal and transverse arches and improves the free movement of the joints in the tarsus – the "weak point" of the foot's structure.

The combination of firm and flexible elements in the orthotic core allows the foot to twist naturally, thus boosting active mobility. The interaction of the four side sections of the "weightflex-X" in the core assists the active resetting of the muscles and connective tissues and optimizes the gait pattern.

The ErgoPad WeightFlex 2 is ideal for those who stand on their feet all day.

What does the WeightFlex Core look like?

Check out this video showing the WeightFlex Orthotic Core present in the ErgoPad WeightFlex 2 and the Sports Ball & Racket Insoles.

The X-shaped Weightflex module helps in maintaining the natural movement of the foot while supporting the arch. This helps in boosting mobility and reduces foot muscle fatigue which can cause pain in the ball of the foot.
