Knee Brace For Arthritis

About one quarter of all adults suffer from arthritis. With the symptoms and severity ranging from discomfort that comes and goes with some stiffness to chronic pain and reduced range of movement, arthritis in the knees causes lots of Australians pain and discomfort on a daily basis.

If you're looking for osteoarthritis knee braces, Bauerfeind has you sorted, from our compression sleeves with viscoelastic gel for comfort and swelling management, all the way to our complete unloading knee supports to alleviate even the most chronic of arthritic pains. When you're after a knee brace for arthritis, look no further than Bauerfeind.

How do I know which one to get?
Arthritis is an extremely common issue that affects the knees, some might even say inevitable. We have developed supports for every level of arthritis. As a rule of thumb, compression is the best way to manage mild to moderate arthritis, while stability and unloading work better for moderate to severe. If you're not sure where you fit in there, just give us a call or email.
Will these weaken my muscles?
While cheaper and less effective braces can cause an issue known as reliance (where the muscles become weaker and rely on the brace), Bauerfeind has perfected the blend of stability and movement. By restricting or immobilising specific parts of the ankle that need it, and freeing up the rest, you can continue to exercise, building and maintaining strength in the joint.
What makes these products better than others?
Simply put, Bauerfeind has set the global standard for medical braces, compression and insoles. Using the highest quality materials to construct decades-refined products that have been clinically proven to address a vast range of issues. There's no substitute for quality, and Bauerfeind has that from the simplest strap to the largest brace.
How do I clean my knee brace?
Wash the compression braces on a gentle cycle, at a low temperature, and then allow them to air-dry. Ideally, the garments should be washed in a delicates wash-bag. Clothes dryers should be avoided as the high temperatures can damage the fabric and grade of compression. For hard braces, hand-wash in cool water and allow to air-dry. Putting them on and taking them off carefully is recommended, and for specific product care, refer to the product manual or contact our friendly staff.
